While on vacation, I read an interesting interview with professional adventuress Kira Salak. She's been called "the real Lara Croft." Her adventures include dodging everything from armed Tuaregs to death by malaria. Since her new novel will not coming out until the 5th, I checked out the local Books-A-Million for any of her nonfiction works and found nothing.
Instead, I picked up Robert Young Pelton’s The World’s Most Dangerous Places. The book is in its fifth edition.
His website looks almost as interesting as the book itself. It's a great site for adventurers -- both real and armchair.
